CIECA Assessment workshop - Brussels, 4-5 November 2010
As association of testing organisations assessment is a core competence of CIECA’s members. The last years have seen developments in several CIECA member countries away from a pure fault-based assessment system towards a more holistic overall competency-based assessment. In addition CIECA’s Expert Advisory Group (EAG) carried out some research in this area and convened meetings involving discussions with expert advisors.
This workshop aims at explaining the differences between the two systems, highlighting their advantages and disadvantages and explaining and reviewing the work carried out so far. It will further provide the opportunity to discuss the different steps to be taken when changing from a fault-based to a competency-based system and focus on the overall aim of improving novice driver safety. The workshop will provide the opportunity for CIECA members and external experts to get together and develop a common understanding of best practice in competency-based assessment.
More details and the draft agenda follow shortly. Please note that this is a member-only event. If you need additional information, please feel free to contact Agnes Reikl.
